Our Journey Together in Worship

Episcopalians who worship at The Church of the Holy Communion will find a wide array of devotional experiences.

Two Sunday services with the Holy Eucharist are held each week. The 8:00 service steeped in traditional language (Rite 1) is spoken. The 10:00 service is more contemporary text and includes music and a children's talk. On the first Sunday of each month, the Litany of Healing is included within the regular service prior to the exchange of the Peace.

The Lenten services on Friday evening provide an experience of Sacred mystery that hearkens back to very early Church ceremony. The Stations of the Cross and Benediction - is a deeply beautiful and profound ceremony complete with plainsong, incense and candlelight.

Special services of a contemporary nature are The Blessing of the Animals and The Lighting of the Tree (Advent). There are many opportunities for spiritual expression whether it be through the liturgy, music, altar flower memorials, Holy water at the entrance, votive candles, or the symbolism of the vestments and iconic art in the sanctuary.
